Dani Olmo’s Agent: “Barcelona is the Only Option, He Wants to Stay”

ani Olmo's agent, Andy Bara, has dismissed rumors about the player's potential departure from Barcelona, stating that Olmo has no intention of leaving the club. Despite challenges with registering his contract in La Liga, Olmo remains committed to staying at Barcelona, where he has long dreamed of playing.

Dani Olmo’s transfer saga remains one of the biggest stories in European football. Barcelona’s second request to register his contract in La Liga has been rejected, but the club is doing everything possible to continue using the 26-year-old player for the rest of the season.

Rumors have suggested that both Manchester United and Manchester City are monitoring Olmo’s situation, hoping that La Liga’s issues with his registration will allow them to sign him.

In a recent interview with Giannis Sport, Andy Bara, Olmo’s agent, clarified the situation, saying, “This is a stressful situation for Dani, as it would be for any player, but he is a great player and person, and he is trying to stay calm. Dani is a winner and wants to play, not watch the games! We are not negotiating with any club. Dani is a Barcelona player and wants to remain a Barcelona player. He has worked hard throughout his life to be at Barcelona, and it has always been his long-term dream.”

When asked about the possibility of Olmo leaving, Bara responded: “Barcelona is the first and last option! Dani, his father, his family, myself, we don’t think about other options. Many players use this clause, but we are not thinking about that.”

On why Olmo wants to stay at Barcelona, Bara continued, “We’ve never made decisions based on money. Dani plays football with passion, and he worked hard to get to Barcelona. I’m also happy to have Dani at Barcelona; he’s one of the best players in the world at one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

Bara also explained the decision to join RB Leipzig instead of Bayern Munich: “Yes, it’s true. Bayern offered more money, but we gave our word to Leipzig and Oliver Mintzlaff. They showed us their project, and we decided to go to Leipzig at that time. It was a decision based on the sporting project. Money is not everything in life and football.”

When asked if they would be happy staying at Barcelona, Bara said, “We respect Joan Laporta and Deco. They worked hard to bring Dani last summer. We like their project; it’s a big project for the future. I can even say it’s one of the best projects in the world in the coming years. We are confident Barcelona will win all the titles in the future, just like they did in the Messi era. Dani, his family, and I all want him to stay at Barcelona.”

On the possibility of a transfer to Manchester United or Manchester City, Bara stated, “Honestly, I feel calm. It may sound strange, but I trust Laporta and Deco, and I believe they will find a solution for Dani. Barcelona is a big club.”

When asked about the possible solution, Bara concluded, “I believe Barcelona will finalize everything and make it happen. Instead of these reports about Dani not being available for the national team, La Liga should help Barcelona. I’m sure Dani will be at Barcelona for years to come. He is happy at this club, and he wants to stay here.”
